Pongal is a harvest festival at the end of harvest season in order to show gratitude to farmers, and nature. This festival is celebrated in South India. In this occasion, Kheer, mixture of rice and jaggery, is boiled over a pot and served to people. We the department of aeronautical engineering on behalf of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education had celebrated Pongal festival on 13.1.2023. Head of the department of Aeronautical Engineering, respected Dr.T.Annil Kumar had organized the function with full-fledged. Academic director, respected Dr. A. Sajin Nargunam was a special guest in this function. Dr. A. Sajin Nargunam, Dr.T.Annil Kumar, and other members of the staff had commenced the function by lighting the traditional lamp. The floor was embellished neatly and Prof. A. Anu Kuttan had decorated the floor with Rangoli. Prof.S.Aneesha, had made Pongal in a pot. When the rice was boiled over a pot, all members produced joyful noise. This marked the Pongal brings peace, happiness, healthiness and prosperity in the life of the people. Eventually, the Pongal in the form of Kheer was served to all the members who had participated in this function.
