Day 1 Highlights: Three-Day Workshop on Performance Art at Sukumari School, NICHE

The Sukumari School of Multimedia and Film Technology at NICHE University kicked off a transformative three-day workshop on performance art with an inspiring inauguration. The ceremony was led by Chief Guest Shri. Ariharasuthan, a celebrated theatre artist, trainer, poet, and media researcher. Mr. V. N. Pradeep, Course Mentor, delivered the welcome address, followed by Ms. Kavitha V, HOD, introducing the guest. Dr. Tessy Thomas, Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the event, with Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), giving the presidential address. Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan, Registrar, offered a special address, and Dr. B. Bindhu, Director of Student Affairs, provided felicitation. The presence of Dr. R. Perumalsamy, Pro-Chancellor (Academic), and Dr. K. A. Janardhanan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration), added prestige. The day’s session immersed participants in the art of performance through activities like property analysis, recreating frames, photostory creation, and focused observation, teaching them to convey powerful narratives through subtle gestures and expressions.
