Guest Lecture on “Aerodynamics – Subsonic, Supersonic & Hypersonic” Enriches NICHE Aerospace Students

The Faculty of Aeronautical and Space Technology at NICHE organized an insightful guest lecture on “Aerodynamics – Subsonic, Supersonic & Hypersonic (The Application Perspective)” at the Prof. L. Srinivasan Memorial Block. The session featured Dr. Pankaj Priyadarshi, Scientist/Engineer “H” and Project Director of the Advanced Technology Vehicles Project at VSSC, ISRO, Thiruvananthapuram, as the distinguished speaker.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. B. Stanly Jones Retnam, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering. This was followed by an introductory address by Prof. N. Shyam Mohan and a formal introduction of the chief guest by Mrs. Stefania, Assistant Professor, Aerospace.

Dr. Priyadarshi’s lecture provided students with expert perspectives on aerodynamic principles across various flight regimes—subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic—highlighting their practical applications in advanced aerospace vehicles.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Joselin Herbert, Professor and Head of Aerospace, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for a successful and enriching event.
