A former Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), he is a distinguished academic leader known for his contributions to innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation in technical education across India. He has also served as Director of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and as a Professor at Indian Institute of Science, significantly contributing to the academic and research ecosystem.
