Krishi Vaibhav 2026 Begins; NICHE Kanyakumari’s “Mera Mitti” Draws Attention

The agricultural expo Krishi Vaibhav 2026, organized under the leadership of Confederation of Indian Small Scale Industries with the support of the Central MSME Ministry, commenced at Putharikandam Maidan, Thiruvananthapuram. Participating alongside NIMS Medicity, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education presented the unique “Mera Mitti” exhibit, which quickly emerged as a major attraction at the expo. Centered around the deep connection between soil and agriculture, the initiative highlights the importance of sustainable farming, traditional livelihoods, and rural empowerment. The stall, introduced under the leadership of NICHE Kanyakumari to support traditional industries and agricultural awareness, received wide appreciation from visitors on the inaugural day.

Adding further recognition to the initiative, George Kurian appreciated the “Mera Mitti” stall, remarking that it beautifully portrays the inseparable relationship between soil and agriculture. He emphasized that initiatives like this play a significant role in preserving traditional farming practices and rural occupations while inspiring future generations and empowering farming communities. The exhibition, offers visitors an opportunity to explore innovative farming methods, agricultural technologies, and modern machinery, while the “Mera Mitti” stall continues to attract attention for its meaningful blend of agricultural heritage, sustainability, and innovation.
