Seminar on “Space Transportation System – The Indian Perspective” Inspires NICHE Aerospace Students

The Faculty of Aeronautical and Space Technology at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) hosted a prestigious seminar titled “Space Transportation System – The Indian Perspective” at the Prof. L. Srinivasan Memorial Block. The event began with the traditional Tamil Thai Vazhthu, setting a respectful tone for the proceedings and reflecting cultural pride.

The seminar officially commenced with warm addresses by esteemed dignitaries including Prof. N. Shyam Mohan, Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, and Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan, who highlighted the significance of India’s advancements in space technology and the importance of educating future aerospace professionals.

The Chief Guest, Dr. M. Jayakumar, Project Director of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and an Outstanding Scientist at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO, delivered an engaging keynote address. Dr. Jayakumar provided an in-depth overview of India’s space transportation systems, emphasizing the technological achievements, challenges, and future prospects of PSLV missions and Indian space endeavors.

Following the keynote, the program featured a memento presentation to honor the Chief Guest, prize distribution recognizing student achievements, and felicitations to contributors of the event. The seminar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone who made the program a success, and the singing of the National Anthem, reinforcing the spirit of patriotism and pride in India’s space achievements.
