Autistic Pride Day 2026

The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kanyakumari, observed Autistic Pride Day 2026 through a Speech & Language Assessment Review Camp conducted at Shanthi Nilayam Special School, Nagercoil. Faculty members and BASLP students actively participated in assessing communication skills, providing valuable recommendations, and promoting awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The initiative reflected NICHE’s commitment to supporting neurodiversity, empowering individuals with communication challenges, and extending professional healthcare services to the community. Through meaningful assessment, guidance, and interaction, the programme contributed to fostering greater understanding, inclusion, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.
