NICHE Organizes NEP 2020 Awareness Programme and Rally to Promote Educational Transformation

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) hosted an engaging NEP 2020 Awareness Programme in collaboration with the NSS Volunteers Club, Gandhian Peace Club, and the Department of Academic Affairs. The event commenced at 3:00 PM on campus with a warm welcome address by Dr. Madhusoodhana Kumar, Head of the Department of Information Technology.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. A. Shajin Nargunam, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), who highlighted the key features of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its transformative benefits for students, teachers, and the community. His speech emphasized how NEP 2020 fosters innovation, skill development, and holistic growth in higher education.

Following the inaugural session, an enthusiastic Awareness Rally was held, with students marching from the University Entrance to Kumaracoil, spreading awareness of NEP 2020’s vision among the local community.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by the Department of Academic Affairs, the NEP 2020 Administrative Council, and Dr. G. Ramadas, NICHE Nodal Officer for Higher Education. The event saw active participation from faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students, successfully promoting the transformative agenda of NEP 2020.
