The Department of Placement and Training at NICHE conducted a Value Added Course (Session: II) today titled “International Certification for Safety Professionals,” aimed at equipping students with essential skills and knowledge in global safety standards and protocols. The course was designed to enhance the students' understanding of safety practices, risk management, and compliance with international safety regulations, critical for careers in high-risk industries.
The program was led by industry experts and certified safety professionals who provided in-depth training through both theoretical and practical modules. Key topics covered included occupational health and safety, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response planning, and safety audit procedures. The course emphasized the importance of certification in the safety profession, enhancing employability in both domestic and international job markets.
A total of 92-students participated, actively engaging in hands-on exercises, case studies, and real-world simulations. Participants also gained insights into achieving certifications from renowned safety organizations, thus preparing them for the requirements of international safety roles. Feedback from students was highly positive, with many expressing an improved understanding of global safety standards and the confidence to apply these practices professionally.
