Watershed Yatra: Educational Visit to Mambazhathuraiyar Dam and Villukuri Water Treatment Plant

The NSS unit of NICHE, along with the Adventure Club and the Green Energy Eco Club, organized an educational visit under the Watershed Yatra initiative to the Mambazhathuraiyar Dam and Villukuri Water Treatment Plant. This visit was designed to deepen students' knowledge on water conservation, processing, and distribution. At the Villukuri Water Treatment Plant, Assistant Executive Engineer Mr. TD Rajan detailed the processes of water purification and distribution. The trip was coordinated by NSS Coordinator Dr. Unnikrishnan and faculty members Dr. Gokul, Dr. Tibbe Pon Simon, Dr. Berlin Push, Mr. K. Suresh Babu, and Ms. Krishnendu. The experience was highly educational, promoting awareness of sustainable water management, and concluded with students expressing their appreciation to the coordinators and plant officials for the insightful sessions.
