World Book and Copyright Day Celebration 2025 at NICHE

The Central Library and NICHE Literary Club at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) jointly celebrated World Book and Copyright Day at the Central Library Conference Hall. This UNESCO-recognized event honored literary giants like William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. Dr. T. K. Danesh, Head of the Tamil Department, opened with a warm welcome, followed by Dr. S. Lawyed Stephen, Librarian, introducing the Chief Guest, Dr. R. David Raja Bose, who spoke on literature’s transformative power. Dr. Thirumal Valavan, Registrar, and Mr. Suresh Babu facilitated a special honoring ceremony, while Dr. G. Ramadas, Deputy Librarian, led the recognition of dignitaries. Dr. C. L. Pramila closed with a vote of thanks. The event underscored the value of books, copyright protection, and intellectual freedom, reinforcing NICHE’s dedication to promoting literature and lifelong learning.
