NICHE STEVE J0BS SCHOLARSHIP

Noorul Islam Educational Trust, started as engineering college in 1989 and it was the first engineering college in Kanyakumari District. On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the first Engineering Department of the Institute, Computer Science & Engineering launching of, NICHE STEVE J0BS SCHOLARSHIP ceremony was held on 03/11/2022, at NIMS Medicity Neyyattinkarai. Infosys Co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan was the chief guest of the function. KrisGopalakrishnan while inaugurating the function said that education is the indestructible gift we can give to others. In that way, Noorul Islam Education Group continues to give this laudable gift to all. He said in his speech that many faces we meet in different areas in our life hold responsibility for our success to some extent. Steve Jobs became the leading star of the world because of qualities of dedication, honesty and hard work. He said that the world owes a debt of gratitude to the consumer technology pioneer who invented Apple phone. Kris Gopalakrishnan said that Noorul Islam University is a role model for the community, remembering that great achiever. He also shared various memorable moments of his life, which motivated the students. This Niche-Steve Jobs Scholarship is awarded to the final year students of Noorul Islam University from the Departments of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Computer Applications, selected on the basis of merit, technical skill developments and General Knowledge. This program aims to provide free specialized training under the guidance of experts in their respective fields. Based on that, Kris Gopalakrishnan presented scholarship certificates to 60 selected students on this auspicious day. Also, Kris Gopalakrishnan interacted with the students from different areas. Iyyer & Mahesh Architecture Institute Chairman N. Mahesh launched the Born at Nimes Scholarship, scheme for children born at NIMS Hospital [Born@NIMS] that provides members of Born at Nimes with a 50% scholarship to study in any institutions of Noorul Islam Education Group. Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (Deemed to be University) Pro-Chancellor Mr. M.S. Faizal Khan presided. Pro-Chancellor (Academic) Dr. R. Perumalsamy, Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.K. Kumaraguru, Director, Department of Academic Affairs Dr. A Shajin Naragunam, NIMS Medicity General Manager Dr. K.A. Saju, Directors, Deans, Professors and students participated in the august function.
