A seminar on Impact of Education is conducted by the Department of Information Technology on the 11th of November 2024. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, National Education Day is celebrated. In this regard, a seminar on Impact of Education is given by Ms. Rhea Esther V, an alumna of IIT Madras. She briefed the impact of education in all aspects of the lives of people. Students and staff members of the department of IT attended this seminar. They gained a deeper understanding of education driving the social, economic and cultural development. This programme serves as a reminder of the importance of education in nation building and social progress.
The Department of Information Technology organized the 14th National Technical Symposium, GENBYTE-2024, on October 25, 2024. Mr. S. Eben Monic, Manager of PR Databases at Notified, Tamil Nadu, India, graced the occasion. The symposium was coordinated by Dr. K. Siva Sankar, Associate Professor/IT, and Dr. Y. Jeyasheela, Associate Professor/IT, and convened by Dr. R. Mathusoothana S. Kumar, Head of the Department, IT. The inaugural function began with a welcome address by Ms. S. Nilofer Mehak of S5IT, followed by GENBYTE-2024 report presented by Dr. R. Mathusoothana S. Kumar. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Tessy Thomas, Vice-Chancellor of NICHE, and the event was inaugurated by Dr. P. Thirumalvalavan, Registrar of NICHE. The Chief Guest, Mr. S. Eben Monic, introduced himself and delivered an insightful talk on recent trends and current opportunities in the IT field. On behalf of the GENBYTE-2024 team, Dr. Tessy Thomas, Vice-Chancellor of NICHE, presented a memento to the Chief Guest. The inaugural session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. J. Nithisha Devi, S5IT. To promote knowledge-sharing on emerging technologies and to recognize talented students, events such as paper presentation, quiz, and web design competitions were conducted. Cultural events like Battle of the Beats and singing contest, added vibrancy to the occasion. During the valedictory function, winners were honored with attractive prizes. For each competition, first-place winners received a cash prize of Rs. 1,000, a memento, and a certificate. Second-place winners received a cash prize of Rs. 750, a memento, and a certificate. The Department of Information Technology organised a seminar on Internet of Things on 9th September 2024 at IT Smart classroom.The objective of this seminar is to provide introduction of IoT and to give exposure to various sub-fields and technology stacks of IoT.Mr.Avinash S.Kumar,Product developer,NetworkZ Systems was the Resource person of the seminar.Around 70 students and 10 faculty members participated in the seminar.

He has around 8 years of industrial experience. The seminar on Campus Onboarding was handled by the eminent resource person Dr. Ajith Sankar. The briefing of etiquette to be followed pre boarding, boarding and on boarding process was excellent. The students were given ideas how to build up professionally and go ahead in their career.
A Seminar on “Stress Management” was organized by the Department of Information Technology, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education on 29-04-2024. The seminar on stress management was organized with the aim of raising awareness about stress-related issues, providing practical strategies for coping with stress, and promoting overall well-being among the students. Dr.R.Mathusoothana S.Kumar, Professor & Head of the Department of Information Technology convened the seminar, Dr.S.Maria Celestin Vigila, ASP/IT and Dr.Y.Jeyasheela,ASP/IT coordinated the seminar. Dr.Y.Jeyasheela, welcomed all the cherished dignitaries of NICHE, Resource person and the participants of the seminar.Prof.A.R.Subramania Iyer delivered the inaugural address.

Rasic, Cyber Security Engineer from Digital University, KSAAC, Technopark, Trivandrum and his team members Ms. Shruthi Krishna G, Research Associate and Ms. S. Gopika, Project Associate were the resource persons. Ms. Shruthi Krishna G handled the first session. Around 60 students of the Department of Information Technology participated the workshop. The students were given awareness on virtualization, Kali Linux, Security Web Auditing, Security Infrastructure auditing and Cyber Security job domains. The students were also given demo on virtualization in the Artificial Intelligence lab. Dr. Y. Jeyasheela delivered the vote of thanks.
A Parent Teacher Meeting was organized by the department of Information Technology, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education to discuss the performance of students with their parents. The Parent Teacher Meeting was held for the parents of second year, third year, final year B.Tech students and third year B.Sc. student. The meeting was conducted on 17th of March 2023. The main objective of the meeting was to create an interaction between the teachers and the parents of the students.

Women’s Day celebrates the importance and significance of women in every person’s life. The world is moving towards gender equality. It is moving towards a balance between both men and women. A change is required and is also essential. It is observed that men have had more advantages in every sphere of life in comparison to women for ages. However, this needs a change as we all are humans and should be treated equally with equal rights and opportunities.
The students were given a comprehensive introduction on various topics in Web Development like SDLC, Web Technologies, HTML etc. They gained in-depth knowledge of front-end technologies and webpage creation. The hands-on training session provided a means for the students to build a solid foundation on HTML and CSS and design beautiful looking front ends. It also enabled the students to understand HTML and its tag libraries to format data on the website.
The seminar was conducted to spark the entrepreneurial spirit in the budding innovators by guiding them on how to convert their Innovative ideas and emerge as successful Entrepreneurs. To lead the students through right skill set, attitude, and behavior.

This workshop is designed for Faculties with a desire to understand the benefits of cloud computing in Azure, core Azure architecture components such as subscriptions, management groups, resources and resource groups.
A National Level Workshop on The Power of Open Source Technologies is conducted on the 19th of October 2022. Open source software is a code that is designed to be publicly accessible - anyone can see, modify, and distribute the code as they see fit. Open source needs to be considered as a public good bringing huge societal benefits. Today open source has changed the face of technology and is growing exponentially. Open source softwares are discussed and an insight of Red Hat Linux Operating System is provided.
One Day Online Workshop on "Patent Awareness” was organised by Department of Information Technology, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education on 21.04.2021 at 2.00PM to 3.30PM. This Workshop aims to provide opportunities to Faculty members and Research Scholars to enrich their technical knowledge in publishing Patents in various fields.
The main objective of conducting this seminar is to create an awareness among students to ensure environmental protection through effective waste management measures, increase number of job within waste service, recycling and recovery, encourage waste to energy options, ensure design and manufacture of products that avoid or minimize waste generation, increase consumer awareness of waste minimization issues, reduce the percentage of recyclable material to landfill.

This FDP aims to provide opportunities to faculty members to enrich their technical knowledge in the field of Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Networking and IOT.
This workshop is aimed to students and researchers aiming to understand the basic principles of machine learning. Basic principles of learning theory that are useful to analyze results of practical applications will also be covered. There will be practical sessions using Matlab.
