About Audiology and Speech Language Pathology

The department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology offers Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology program approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India. The BASLP program started in the year 2019 under the department of Allied Health Sciences and was established as an independent department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology in the year 2024.

The curriculum framework for BASLP program gives equal importance to academic and clinical activities. To aid this notion, since the inception of the department, it is offering clinical services for wide spectrum of persons with disabilities across all age. The department also provide community based services in the form of medical camps along with neonatal hearing screening, speech language diagnostics and therapeutic services in nearby hospital.

VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Audiology and Speech-language Pathology is focused on evolving the

scientific understanding of human communication and its disorders and to improve the

quality of life of people across the lifespan.

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

? To equip the students with foundational academic, and clinical knowledge and skills that

are acquired through innovative classrooms, simulated learning experiences, mentored

research, and guided clinical experiences.

? To provide public education and awareness in the field.

? To promote ethical practices.
