A webinar on the “Understanding Intellectual property and its protection in India” was organized by Department of Nanotechnology, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education on 28 th May 2024. The talk was delivered by Dr. R. S. Rimal Isaac, Assistant Professor, Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE. 97 participants attended the webinar. The webinar began by 11:00 am with the welcome speech by Dr. P.K.Praseetha, followed by the guest lecture and the meeting ended by 1:00 pm. The participants actively participated in the event and cleared their doubts on the Indian Patent Laws.

K. Praseetha, Professor and Head, Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE. 36 participants from India, Malaysia, and Algeria attended the webinar. The webinar began by 11:00 am with the welcome speech by Dr. R. S. Rimal Isaac, followed by the guest lecture and the meeting ended by 1:00 pm. The participants actively participated in the event and cleared their doubts on the biomaterials.
The Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE, organized a one-day Workshop on UV-Visible and Raman spectroscopy, on 15th of March 2023. The workshop started at Smart class Room, NT at 10:00 am. Dr. S. Gobalakrishnan welcomed all the dignitaries and participants and requested all the stack holders to co-operate for the grand success of the program. Followed by welcome address, Dr. P. K. Praseetha, Head, Nanotechnology delivered inaugural address. During the inaugural address, she emphasizes the importance of spectroscopy in homeopathy and health care. Then, the first session started by Dr. S. Gobalakrishnan, on the topic of “UV-Visible spectroscopy and its applications” and the second session also handled by Dr. S. Gobalakrishnan which focused on Hands on training about the operation of UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Then Lunch break declared from 01:00 pm to 02:00pm. From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm session 3 & session 4 handled by, Dr. R. S. Rimal Isaac, Assistant Professor in the Department of Nanotechnology. He gave an excellent lecture on the subject of "Raman Spectroscopy" after that he conducted a practical session on operating Raman Spectrometer and then answered all of the audience's questions. As a final part of the programme, Valedictory session started at 4:00 pm. The feedback from the participants were shared and the certificate were distributed to all the participants by Dr. P. K. Praseetha, HOD/Nanotechnology, NICHE. The meeting was concluded by singing national anthem.
The Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE in association with Department of Microbiology, Noorul Islam College of Arts and Science, organized a Two Days Workshop on Nanotechnology and its Applications on Biological Sciences, during 9th and 10th of March 2023. The Day one is inaugurated at Department of Microbiology, NICAS campus. Mrs S. Sreedevi, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology welcomed all the dignitaries and followed by Dr. R. Marimuthu, Principal, NICAS delivered inaugural address. Then, the first session started by Dr. S. Gobalakrishnan, on the topic of “Concepts of Nanotechnology and its Applications. At 2:00 pm, Dr. M. Prabu, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nanotechnology, began the second session. He gave an excellent lecture on the subject of "Applications of Carbon-Based Materials in Biology" after which the audience members asked questions.Dr. R. S. Rimal Isaac, Assistant Professor, Department of Nanotechnology, began Session Three at 3:00 p.m. He gave an excellent speech on "Nanomaterials in Agriculture and Food," and then answered all of the audience's questions. Day two events at the Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE included lab demonstrations by Drs. S. Gobalakrishnan and R. S. Rimal Isaac that focused on the Synthesis and Characterisation of Nanomaterials, respectively. Certificate distribution ceremony was held at 3.00 p.m. in the Smart Class Room, NT. Certificates were distributed to the participants by Dr. P. K. Praseetha, HOD/Nanotechnology, NICHE. The meeting was concluded by singing national anthem.

Latex Workshop- 2020 was an online interactive FDP held from 11th May 2020 to 15th May 2020 for Faculty and Research Scholars.
The Department of Nanotechnology, NICHE, organized a 5-day "LaTeX Workshop 2020" from May 11 to 15, 2020. The workshop, led by Dr. R. S. Rimal Isaac, aimed to teach students, researchers, and faculty the benefits of using LaTeX for document typesetting and introduce them to open-source content. Conducted via Zoom during the lockdown, the event had 56 participants. Feedback was collected on the final day, and e-certificates were issued. Xcellogen Biotech Pvt. Ltd. served as the technical partner, ensuring the smooth execution of the online sessions.

A fifteen days faculty development program on Nanomaterials and their characterization procedures was conducted by the Department of nanotechnology. Forty selected Scientists and Research Scholars from all over India participated and benefited through the training. Six Scientists and experts were brought in to train the participants.
